Football-Stadium in Camagüey

Football pitches of acceptable quality are scarce in Cuba. Camagüey Province is no different. There the games have to be played on 'cement fields'. So many Camagüeyers dream of one day having a football stadium of their own. The ‘viva el fútbol‘ team and Camaquito want to make this dream come true.

A local architects office was commissioned to draw up a corresponding project. A first phase foresees the laying of a proper football pitch with sprinkler system, and a modest office for Camagüey Province football association. The same type of office is foreseen for the 'viva el fútbol' project team. In a second phase a stadium with a capacity of 7,000 spectators is planned.
